Jack Kennedy: “He has a lot of weight, but he’s the type of horse I think can carry weight and has a little bit of class.”

HIGHLAND CRYSTAL
To start things off tomorrow, I ride Highland Crystal. She’s unbeaten over hurdles, and she’s a lovely filly. Her form got boosted the other day with Saratoga winning the Fred Winter. This is probably a big step up for her, but I’d be hopeful that she’s up to this standard, and I give her a good chance.

BOWENSONFIRE
In the County Hurdle, I ride Bowensonfire. He’s really coming to himself on his last couple of runs. He has a lot of weight, but he’s the type of horse I think can carry weight and has a little bit of class. He could be one of my each-way prices that runs into a place, hopefully.
2:40pm Cheltenham
I have no ride in the Paddy Power Mares Chase. I like Panic Attack. She was very impressive on her last start. I think she will give Dinoblue a good race.
3:20pm Cheltenham
SPINNINGAYARN
I ride spinning a yarn in the Albert Barlett. I really like this horse. He doesn’t show us a whole lot at home, and when he gets to the track, he’s a completely different horse. It’s raining at present, which is great, and I’d like as much rain as we can get for him, to be honest. Once the rain keeps coming and there’s no quick ground like we have had so far this week, I give him a great chance.

FIREFOX
In the Gold Cup, I am riding Firefox. I am very pleased with him, and he was wrong the last day at Leopardstown, but he still has a bit to find. I’d be hoping he can run a nice race. I think Jango Baie of Nicky Henderson’s will be the one that I think is up to winning this race.
4:40pm Cheltenham
I don’t have much of an opinion on this race. Obviously I’d be hoping that Chemical Energy could run well for Gordon and Barry O’Neill.
5:20pm Cheltenham
The Martin Pipe is not a race that I’ve looked at a whole deal, but Gordon’s horse, Open Secret, could run a big race at a very big price.
